Wedding Do's and Don'ts for the Happy Couple

Planning a wedding is not easy as it may seem. With so much to plan and look after such as your wedding dress, decor, and stylist, you may end up being too exhausted. As a couple, you are in control of the planning process, so here are a few wedding dos and don'ts that will help ease your mind and boost your enjoyment levels!

Wedding Do's

  • Do what you think is best and focus on your own values. Sit with your partner and decide what feels right for you both and let that thought lead your planning.

  • Do consider planning your wedding at an all-inclusive venue. The ease of having the ceremony and reception at the same place, with professionals to take care of most of the things, makes your day relaxing and puts you at ease.

  • Do book your venue nine to 12 months before the wedding. Research carefully and look at the client's testimonials to have an idea about the services delivered.

  • Do book your photographer and videographer at least six to nine months before your big day.

  • Do feed your vendors on the day of the wedding.

  • Do consider table visits during the reception. It is a grand display of love, respect, and appreciation from the couple if they spend a few minutes visiting the guests.

Wedding Don'ts

  • Don't make your guests wait for hours between the ceremony and the reception. If it's impossible to avoid the time gap, you may make a suitable arrangement for your guests to relax and enjoy.

  • Don't seat older guests near the speakers or the bands, as it may make it difficult for them to hear anything else.

  • As an essential wedding tip, don't forget to pamper yourself, your mom, and your maids with a relaxing spa a day before the wedding. Enjoy the facials, manicures, and pedicures.

  • Don't forget guests with small children. You can ask the venue if they can arrange for a small play area or a room for the children.

  • Don't make your guests pay for their drinks. It is a big NO. If opening a bar for long is going beyond your budget, then there are ways to cut costs without asking your guests to make the payment. This can be done by having a bar open for a limited duration by breaking up the evening into two parts. Have it fully opened during the cocktail hour, and then serve wine or beer during the dinner.

These are some of the essential wedding dos and don'ts. As you have prepped endlessly for your day, it's time to enjoy and celebrate. We hope these wedding dos and don'ts will help you pull off your dream day seamlessly and comfortably.
